It is easy to draw conclusions on Solskjaer’s tactical capabilities as a manager and whether he is fit to manage Manchester United, however stating he is not up to the job is the easy conclusion to draw.

Without knowing, which none of us do, who sets the strategic direction of the club’s recruitment and in turn who ultimately is responsible for the final yay or nay on players, laying the blame at the Manager’s feet is the easy, but least credible option. The same was done with Van Gaal, Mourinho and now it is being done with Solskjaer. A change in Manager will not change Manchester United’s fortunes. The problems run deeper than that.
